How To Style Bed Pillows
I get asked frequently on how to style bed pillows so today I’m going to share all my tips and tricks for a perfectly styled bed! I’ll share a few options for styling a king bed and also a queen bed. Check out the diagrams below and make sure to scroll to the end to shop my favorite pillows to style your bed!
HOW TO STYLE A KING BED:
- OPTION #1 – sleeping pillows hidden behind then:
- Pillow Cover Sizes: 3 – 26″ Euros, 2 King Shams, 2 – 22″ pillow covers, & lumbar pillow.
- Corresponding Pillow Inserts: 3 – 28″ Inserts, 2 King Sized Inserts (20×36), 2 – 24″ Pillow Inserts, and 1 size up pillow insert for lumbar pillow (you can do a variety of sizes for lumbar).
- Note: I am allergic to down and prefer to be able to wash my pillows, so all of the inserts I use and recommend are down-alternative but are still plenty fluffy just like down!
- OPTION #2 – sleeping pillows hidden behind then:
- Pillow Cover Sizes: 3 – 26″ Euros, 2 – 22″ pillow covers, 1 – 20″ pillow cover
- Corresponding Pillow Inserts: 3 – 28″ inserts, 2 – 24″ inserts, 1 – 22″ insert
- OPTION #3 – sleeping pillows hidden behind then:
- Pillow Cover Sizes: 3- 26″ Euros, large lumbar pillow (usually I recommend somewhere in 14×36″ – 16×42″ range).
- Corresponding Pillow Inserts: 3- 28″ inserts & lumbar pillow insert (sized up)
- OPTION #1 – sleeping pillows hidden behind then:
- Pillow Cover Sizes: 2 – 26″ Euros, 2 standard sized shams, and large lumbar pillow (again, somewhere in 14×36″ – 16×42″ range).
- Corresponding Pillow Inserts: 2 – 28″ inserts, 2 standard pillow inserts, and large lumbar pillow insert (sized up).
- OPTION #2 – sleeping pillows hidden behind then:
- Pillow Cover Sizes: 2 – 26″ Euros, 2- 22″ pillow covers, 1 – 20″ pillow cover
- Corresponding Pillow Inserts: 2 – 28″ inserts, 2 – 24″ inserts, and 1 – 22″ pillow insert.
- OPTION #3 – sleeping pillows hidden behind then:
- Pillow Cover Sizes: 2 – 26″ Euros and 1 large lumbar
- Corresponding Pillow Inserts: 2 – 28″ inserts and 1 large lumbar pillow insert (sized up).
