If you’ve been following along with our new home build, you know I’m all about the details that make a space feel elevated and intentional – and cabinet hardware is one of the biggest “small” design choices that makes a huge impact.
Today I’m sharing the Top Knobs cabinet hardware we chose for our new home, why we picked these finishes, and my best tips for choosing hardware that feels timeless (but still current).
When we started selecting finishes for our new home, I wanted cabinet hardware that checked a few boxes: quality, timeless style, and pieces that would work across multiple rooms.

For most of our new home, we kept things consistent and went with brass cabinet hardware. Brass adds warmth and instantly makes cabinetry feel more custom and elevated – and I love how it ties everything together from room to room. The Top Knobs brass is called “honey bronze” and is an absolutely beautiful warm brass finish.
In our kitchen, I did a mix of pulls, knobs with back plates, and cabinet latches.

The pantry is honestly one of my favorite spaces in our new home. We kept the hardware in the honey bronze finish to match the rest of the cabinetry throughout the house, and it added the perfect warm, finished look. I even swapped out the hardware on this island I purchase to coordinate with the cabinets.

For our laundry room I switched it up and used all knobs in the space.

In our wet bar in the basement, I used the same finish but wanted a bit more of a masculine look and so I selected different pulls. This is why I love how just a simple cabinet hardware swap can really add to the feel of the space.
In our girls’ split bathroom, I chose all knobs in a chrome finish for their scalloped vanities.

If you’re stuck deciding between knobs and pulls, here’s my go-to rule: pulls for drawers, knobs for doors – and mixing them is the easiest way to get a designer look that still functions well. Then you can add to that by adding a few cabinet latches for visual interest to some upper cabinet doors (what we did in our kitchen).
Hardware might feel like a small decision when desiging a space, but it’s one of the details that truly brings the whole design together and makes your home feel finished. We could not be happier with our Top Knobs cabinet hardware!
