After the holidays, I am always anxious to take down all my “Christmas clutter.” Don’t get me wrong, I love all the cozy decor, but I think that because I have to decorate so early, by the day after Christmas I am ready for my clean slate! It’s always tricky styling your home after everything comes down and we are in a transitional winter state. (Plus everything looks so bare!) So, today I’m sharing some tips on styling your winter entryway and console table!
First up is a large statement lamp – I used this large charcoal gray one which creates a nice contrast with the lighter tones. Then add some stacked books and a touch of greenery – this set of plants work great for table or shelf styling.

Then, add large decorative baskets on your lower table shelves. I love these ones and they work well for storage throughout your home as well. I typically add a pillow and then a decorative throw on one side. As you’ll notice below, in the other basket I added some birch logs that add some winter elements. (Note: I also keep these year round on my fireplace hearth).

In the center of my console table, I placed this oversized decorative bowl with this wooden chain link. I also like using pinecones for decor fillers as well during the winter!

To balance with a large lamp, I always place a tall vase with stems (or you could do a potted plant as well for height). This is the glass vase I used (similar one here) and these stems are from Hobby Lobby. You can always just remove the red berry stems from your Christmas stems and leave the cedars and wintery mixes as well! Then I placed some stacked boxes next to the vase.
